Im Jahr 2016 produzierte Leica Camera das berühmte LEICA APO-Summicron-M 1:2/50 mm ASPH. in einer limitierten, rot eloxierten Ausführung. Dieses Sondermodell war auf weltweit 100 Exemplare streng limitiert und ging auf eine Einzelanfertigung zurück, die zuvor für den Leica Aufsichtsratsvorsitzenden und Mehrheitsaktionär Dr. Andreas Kaufmann ausgeführt wurde. Im Dezember 2017 produzierte Leica die M (Typ 262) in dieser faszinierend schönen Oberfläche, exklusiv für Lars Netopil Classic Cameras. Die Auflage war – wie seinerzeit die des APO-Summicron – auf weltweit 100 Exemplare streng limitiert. Deckkappe und Bodendeckel sind aus massivem Aluminium gefräst und rot eloxiert.

In December 2017, Leica produced the M (Typ 262) in this fascinating finish, exclusively for Lars Netopil Classic Cameras. The Edition was – as the APO-Summicron – limited to 100 units worldwide. Top- and bottomplate are cut from solid aluminium and red anodized.
