Description
A pair of famille rose porcelain cups dating from the 19th century. Each features a crane with a lingzhi mushroom beneath a peach tree.
Dimensions are: 1 1/2 inches tall X 2 inches wide, 3.8 cm tall X 5.1 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Hairline crack in the rim and a small star crack to the interior of one, one small chip and glaze skip to the rim of the other.
Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
