Description
The first of these fine Asian watercolors depicts flowers and has two red chop marks and a linear poem. It has newspaper articles on the article attached to the back, and an article about the death of the artist and his wife in 1978. Watercolor measures approx. 22.5" x 12" not including border and is free of foxing and undamaged. The second watercolor depicts a laughing man carrying a large frog on his shoulder. It has four red chop marks, and a multi-character poem on left side. It is in original frame and dates to the Vietnam War era. The watercolor measures approx. 22"H x 16"W. Item has a large amount of foxing. Linchia Li (or Lin Chia Li) was a Chinese artist who worked from China and the United States, winning many awards. He and his wife were tragically killed in an accident with a tractor trailer in 1978, at the height of his career.
