A Liverpool English creamware bowl, circa early 19th C. with black transfer decoration depicting a woman at shore waving to departing tall ships, and titled "Susan's Farwell". "Adieu she cry'd and wav'd her Lily Hand". 4-3/4in tall x 11in diameter. Provenance: From the collection of a direct descendant of Thomas Alexander Scott (Pennsylvania, 1823-1881).

Condition

Staple repaired. Chip to foot. Overall crazing. Surface marks to interior. Glaze losses to rim.
