An ancient Egyptian bronze ring with the name of Ramesses II.
New Kingdom Period, c. 1550 - 1050 BCE.
Dimension: 2.3cm (height), 1.9cm (inner diameter).
The ring is 'D' shaped with high shoulder a large ovoid bezel, on which is engraved in intaglio a hieroglyph inscription. The inscription reads 'wsr-mꜢꜤt-rꜤ stp-n-rꜤ', meaning 'The justice of Ra is powerful, chosen of Ra', which is the throne name of the pharaoh Ramesses II.
Private Peking collection formed around 2000.
