Description

A vintage, possibly antique, wooden lap desk chest / portable writing desk chest with a stand. The piece is crafted from a dark hued, glossy wood. Decorated with brass hued rectangular inlays. When the piece is opened, it reveals a black leather style inlay decorated with gold hued tool work. The interior has two glass inkwells and some pieces of wood, possibly once part of writing utensils or part of the chest. Interior has evident wear to leather style material and wood. Exterior possesses evident wear as well. Loose inlay, cracks to leather, chips to wood. Underside has green felt. Stand has four legs and an ‘X’ shaped stretcher in the center. Together pieces measure approx. 18H x 19W in.
