Description
U.S. Obsolete Currency. 1806 $10.00 Detroit Bank, Michigan. PCGS Ch AU 55PPQ. The example truly is quite pleasing, especially in light of the thin, very fragile paper upon which this post-colonial banknote was printed. Signed by A.B. Woodward as president. Augustus Brevoort Woodward was the first Chief Justice of the Michigan Territory. He also was one of the founders of The University of Michigan, and was a driving force in the reconstruction of Detroit following the devastating 1805 Fire. Est. $120.
