Featured in this lot is this Crawford Co., Wisconsin Hemphill point (4,500 - 3,000 B.P.) aged from the Middle to late Archaic period. This point shows a medium triangular point with side notches and flattened cross section; the blade is excurvate and has a fine serrated edge. This point shows broad parallel notches and a tan cherty material construction. This point shows a Bennett's Artifact Authentication certificate; Bennett works with the Ancient artifact division of Premiere Auctions Group and has been involved in ancient Indian artifacts for over 25 years as a collector, dealer, and authenticator. The Bennett's Artifact Authentication Encoded Certificate Number is: 08H5R57. The condition of this point is good, with wear consistent with the age of the point and no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this point are 3" x 1 1/4" x 1/4".
