Description
Circa 1830; attributed to Abiel Chandler (1807-1881), case with carved scroll and laurel, having two reverse painted and gilt panels, with cast brass eagle finial, signed with illegible signature on sheet metal dial, 42 in. L., 12 in. at widest point. For similar example see The Book of American Clocks by Brooks Palmer, example #163.

Additional comments added on 7/21/2021: Yes, the weight is contained in the clock. There was brass trim, there are holes in the top of the case and the glass is original
