Description

Near Pair of George III Mahogany Candlestands

19th century, each with a piecrust-form top raised on a turned and spiral-ribbed standard, to three splayed legs headed by acanthine carving and ending in ball-and-claw feet.
h. 26-1/2", dia. 13"

Condition

Both are in very good condition. Sturdy with no sign of damage or repairs. Minor wear anddd light stains to their tops from age and use. The pie crust edge is actually carved out from a solid piece of wood - the edge is not applied. Appear to retain their original finish with a rich dark patina.
