This large and spectacular abstract is in the manner of and attributed to one of the world's best known abstract expressionist artists. This original is attributed to Schumacher based on the consignor provided appraisal! This fine piece comes with an appraisal in binder giving this work a replacement cost of $520,000. Medium: Oil on Canvas. Signature: Lower right. Condition: Good overall. No visible in-painting. Size 35 x 48 inches. Frame: 40 x 53 inches. Date: Circa 1962. Please view the appraisal in the pics. Emil Schumacher was a German painter. He was an important representative of abstract expressionism in post-war Germany. In 2009 the Kunstquartier Hagen was inaugurated combining the Karl Ernst Osthaus-Museum Hagen as well as the newly built Emil Schumacher Museum in one Museum complex.
