North Pacific, Hawaii, ca. 19th century CE. An elegant hand-carved milo wood goblet of sizable form, presenting with a circular, tiered foot, a short, corseted leg, and thick walls that form a bulbous body and then taper to a gently flared, annular rim. Highly burnished, this gorgeous vessel presents with natural woodgrain in hues of chestnut and caramel with chocolate brown highlights. Size: 4.75" in diameter x 8.125" H (12.1 cm x 20.6 cm)

Condition
Two collection labels on underside of base. Two stable fissures; one on interior from rim to bottom of basin and another from shoulder to foot. Chip to rim. Many petite linear scratches throughout commensurate with age. Tiny abrasion on leg and another on foot. Otherwise, very good with nice remaining pigment.
