LOT NOTES:
Xing Dong 邢侗 (1551-1612), Originaly Ziyuan, Courtesy Name Niansheng, Fangshan Taoist. A native of Linyi County (now in Dezhou, Shandong). Jinshi in the second year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty, he went to Shaoqing of Taipu Temple in Shaanxi. Good at painting, capable of poetry, writing, calligraphy are cherished at home and abroad. Together with Dong Qichang, Mi Wanzhong, and Zhang Ruitu, they are called the "Four Great Masters of the Late Ming Dynasty".
