Pair of carved giltwood salon or side chairs in the Louis XVI neoclassical taste, having floral wreath crests, rod and ribbon and guilloche decorated frames, and rising on tapered legs with twisted fluting. Unmarked. Provenance: Acquired from Kickliner Gallery, Atlanta, GA, 1970. Approx. of one, h. 36.75", w. 19, d. 16.25"; seat h. 20".

Condition

Loss to one crest; later decoration; frames are structurally sound.
