Description
Native American, Northwest Coast, similar to and possibly by Ray Williams (Nootka First Nations artist) or another member of the Williams family, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. An attractive totem pole, hand-carved from fine-grained cedar, and depicting totemic figures including an impressive Thunderbird at the top, with separately carved outspread wings attached on the back, all atop a separately carved square cedar base. A very nice example! Size: 11.125" W x 12.7" H (28.3 cm x 32.3 cm)

Condition
Minor nicks to ears and faces of some animals, otherwise intact and very good. Wings still swivel smoothly on back pin. Nice carved detailing throughout. Old inventory labels beneath base.
