Description
North Pacific, Hawaii, ca. late 19th century CE. A beautiful bowl made from milo wood, a species native to Hawaii, with its exterior and interior polished to a high sheen. The bowl bulges out at its waist before narrowing at the mouth, and stands on a small, round foot. Note how the toffee, caramel, and chocolate brown hues of the natural wood grain are nicely highlighted by the vessel's elegant form. Size: 5" in diameter x 3.875" H (12.7 cm x 9.8 cm)
