Description
STAMPED "D.P. SHENFELDER / (ROSETTE) / READING. PA.", PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE CAKE CROCK, salt-glazed, "3" gallon capacity mark, truncated cylindrical form with collared, flat-top rounded rim, two incised shoulder rings, and applied arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt horizontal triple tulip decoration below stamp, additional cobalt at handle terminals. Daniel Peter Shenfelder, Reading, PA. Circa 1870. 8" H, 11 3/4" D rim.
Excellent condition having flake to rim interior with professional restoration to rim hairline.
