AMERICAN FOLK ART PAINTED WOODEN BARBERSHOP TRADE SIGN, flat double-sided form exhibiting the silhouette profile of a barber's pole, currently fitted with wrought-iron hanging hook. Retains an early, probably original, red-, white-, and blue-painted surface. Discovered in Bedford Co., PA. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 48" H, 12" W.
Good overall original condition with moderate wear and discoloration, heavier to one side.
