African Hemba ancestor figure (Singiti), Late 19th-Early 20th C. Democratic Republic of Congo. Dark patina. Condition: Smooth patina; extensive signs of age; loss of wood in legs. Provenance: Estate of John Faxon, Michigan State Senator, 1971-1985 and Founder of the Michigan Council for the Arts. On stand. Size: 27.25'' x 9'' x 8.5'' (69 x 23 x 22 cm) Height on Stand: 28.5" (72 cm). Stand Included.
