Description
Very nice tri-color woven Jacquard coverlet in fine condition. Border shows the name of the weaver to be David Brown, and the name of the person for whom the piece was woven in 1844 as J. Benter. Brown is listed in the book Weaving a Legacy as working in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Measures approximately 81” x 97” and retains all of its fringe. It’s a beautiful example with bright colors.
