Rupert Garcia (born 1941 French Camp, CA) is a prominent Chicano artist best known for posters of the 1960s and 1970s that challenged racism and inequality. A founding member of Galeria de la Raza in San Francisco, his work was the subject of a 1986 retrosepctive at the Mexican Museum in San Francisco and a survey by the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco: Rupert Garcia: Prints and Posters, 1967-1990. Garcia's prints are in the Smithsonian Museum, and the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts. His work was featured in the recent traveling show, Artists Respond to the Vietnam War.
