Description
Collection of rare antique World's Fair and World Expo memorabilia including program of events or "Wot is to Be" from the Great Exposition of 1850 (London); souvenir spoon from Chicago 1892-93; presentation medal from the California Midwinter Exposition of 1894; memorabilia from the St. Louis Louisiana Purchase Expo of 1904 including: "St. Louis Exposition in a Nutshell" with miniature foldout photos; a glass ashtray, (2) metal coasters and (2) books on the Expo; memorabilia from the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition including: ribbon badges, souvenir "Novagems", coins, a pin-back button, a Singer button tool and souvenir keys. Dimensions: (Largest book) H 9.5" x W 6.75" x D 0.5" Condition: Wear consistent with antique age including; 1850 program with age toning, losses to edges, fragile paper and binding; 1894 medal with soiling and damage to box, silk fragile; one half of nutshell missing, buttons with some age toning and fraying to ribbons, books with handling wear, metal with tarnish and oxidation, etc.
Condition
All the items in this auction remain at our Annex Gallery location in Bridgeport, CT for pickup. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Monday June 21st through Friday June 25th 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS.
