The Boston reprint of the Edinburgh 1774 edition. Edwards was an American revivalist preacher, philosopher, and Congregationalist Protestant theologian. Widely regarded as one of America‘s most important and original philosophical theologians. Ex-Libris of the Library of the Society of Salem and the Silas Bronson Library, with ink ownership signatures, bookplate on pastedown, and blind-stamp on title page.
Condition
Calf heavily worn and rubbed, particularly along edges and joints, corners rubbed and bumped; hinges cracked but binding holding, pages age-toned, foxed and soiled with occasional edge tears and damage, dampstaining affecting rear pages around hinge, one page inexpertly repaired with a staple; good.
