Description

Misti (Ferdinand Mifliez) (French, 1865-1922). Monumental antique gallery sized Art Nouveau lithograph print advertising poster. A central image of a young woman riding a bicycle within a shield form, with a mythical Griffon beast above, and the name of the company, CYCLES GRIFFON, below. A French language advertising poster for a bicycle shop in Courbevoie, a suburb in the city of Paris. The artist was one of the busiest posterists of his era, following in the footsteps of his mentor, Jules Cheret. Presented in a decorative fabric matte and an ornate gilt frame. Work Size: 61 x 35 in.
