Comment(s): Our drawing is the study for the oil painting of the same name, currently in the collection of the State of Veracruz, Mexico. Rivera, the husband of Frida Kahlo, is arguably Mexico's most famous painter. His large wall works in fresco helped establish the Mexican Mural Movement in Mexican art.
