1. LEE MOREHOUSE. Cayuse Twins In Cradleboards, October 2, 1898. 6.6x4.5" gelatin silver print mounted on 9x7.5" gray board. Printed in negative in lower right corner of image: Copyrighted 1898 8 / Lee Moorehouse; stamped in red ink on mount verso: H. F. Johnson and Co. / Druggists and Pharmacists / Main Street, / Pendleton, Oregon; inscribed in pencil: LM4/1105.

Rose & Hopkins photographed this image during Denver's Festival of Mountain and Plains circa 1896-1899.

Two photographs of babies in cradleboards; one taken by famous Pendleton, Oregon Photographer Lee Morehouse and the other by Denver photographers Rose & Hopkins of an Ute baby.

Lee Morehoue (1850-1926) based in Pendleton, Oregon photographed extensively among the Indian Tribes of Washington and Oregon, Columbia River area and he was the Agent for the Umatilla Reservation between 1888-1916.

Rose & Hopkins (John K. Rose and Benjamin J. Hopkins) active in Denver, Colorado Springs 1886-1901 photographed Indians but also landscape views and city views in Colorado.
