Plate XXX and P1091 in the upper right-hand corner, this engraving depicts a male and female common crake, with R Mitford in the lower right, Robert Mitford (1781 - 1870) was a noted British etcher and engraver and the brother-in-law of Prideaux John Selby (1788 - 1867), unframed, the plate measures 15 x 24 and the image is 10 3/4 x 15 3/4 in. wide, to benefit the Sarasota Audubon Society.Please note that all sales are final.
