Description

A primitive redware double handle baluster form jar with green glaze and having an incised wavy line around shoulder - probably early to mid 19th century - unknown origin. Condition: Glazing losses around rim, body and interior - also, small chips and wear on edge of rim - see photo for more details. Measures 15"H x 9" diameter at handles. Provenance: From a private Poughkeepsie NY collector, downsizing and moving to smaller quarters.
