A GROUP OF FIFTEEN VARIOUS STERLING SILVER SPOONS, 19TH/20TH CENTURIES, comprising three Danish blue guilloch? enameled salt spoons, stamped "ELa DENMARK STERLING 925S," for silversmith Egon Lauridsen (Copenhagen 1936-1966), length: 2 3/8"; six English Victorian fiddle back soup spoons, verso each stamped with tiny lozenge mark, above stacked hallmarks for silversmith's "SH / DC," Samuel Hayne and Dudley Cater, sterling, London, date letter for 1844, and Queen Victoria's profile bust, length: 7"; three J.E. Caldwell & Co retailed R?gence style teaspoons, marked "STERLING," before rectangle circle lozenge mark (possibly Dominick & Haff)?followed by "R," then stamped "J.E. CALDWELL & CO," length: 6"; three Alvin bouillon spoons, marked "STERLING? ALVIN," length: 5", total approximate weight: 14.910 troy oz.?
Condition
The three Danish salt spoons have normal tarnish, one has a small enamel crack on the neck, one has enamel surface degradation. The remaining spoons have expected light wear and tarnish but otherwise are in good antique/vintage condition. Simpson Galleries strongly encourages in-person inspection of items by the bidder.
