A GROUP OF TWO CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN VASE AND GINGER JAR, CHINESE REPUBLIC (1912-1949), comprising a literati style poem ginger jar, the lid painted with four characters over a tapered body enameled with a three figure landscape,?the contrast of?young, fit, and?aged?bodies present the viewer with a philosophical examination living a good life, and a poem at back, foot unmarked, height: 12 1/2", diameter: 8"; and Guangxu period, flared mouth baluster vase painted with an abundant scene of an emperor with his young sons, two beauties, one with a feather fan and the other a vase of peony, and at his feet a crane, foot marked with red overglaze seal. height: 18", diameter: 7". Provenance: From the Estate of James Hayden, Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Condition
