Longton Hall Porcelain Flower Basket Shaped Bowl and Flower-Encrusted Cover
Circa 1756-58, unmarked
Naturalistically modeled as a lobed wicker basket, the cover applied with garden flowers including; a carnation, honeysuckle, anemone, rose and other flowers beneath an arched faux rattan wrapped bail handle.
Height 7 1/2 inches, width 6 1/4 inches.

The William Bemrose Collection.
Sotheby's, London, 29 June 1971, lot 101.

Handle broken in three and reattached, chips to bocage, one loose blossom available to be reattached, three short hairline cracks to bowl (1 and 2 in. long).
