Description

Spread-winged eagle facing right with patriotic shield, including nine coat buttons of various sizes (2 with Scovill Mf'g Co. Waterbury BM, 5 with Waterbury Button Co. BM, 2 with no or illegible BM) and three cuff buttons of various sizes (1 with Horstmann & Co. NY BM, 1 with Waterbury Button Co. BM, 1 with illegible or no BM)---Buttons are in as is condition. Some appear to be in very good condition, others with more evident signs of wear and age. Exceptions we have noted are as follows: one coat button with shank nearly flattened, some with slightly bent shanks, cuff button with illegible BM has smashed shank (Ref. 1-1, 50-12)
