VERY FINE MALLARD HEN by the L.T. Ward Bros., Crisfield, MD, circa 1945-48. Very good original paint and structural condition. Minor neck crack repair to right side of head. Tight check on left center side. Small scuff and hairline check to edge of tail. Head turned slightly left. Fine paint ticking to crest of head and neck. Very detailed painted feather work overall. Painted speculums and painted wing tips. Fine paint ticking to underside of tail. A very fine example of a Ward Bros. gunning model. 2000-3000
