Description
Avinoff, Andrey (Russian/American 1884 - 1948), Untitled (Interior drawings of Cooks Forest, Pennsylvania), circa 1930s, pair of charcoal drawings on paper, apparently unsigned, drawings measure 9.5 x 6.75 inches and 12 x 9 inches, both matted measuring 12 x 9 inches and 14 x 11 inches respectively, unframed. Provenance: The Estate of Andrey Avinoff; by direct descent the present owner, the artist's grand niece. Drawn during artist's tenure as Director of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
Condition
Images in generally good condition, smaller drawing has 1 inch horizontal tear along left side of paper and some light brown spots of discoloration along the top, both with light compression creasing in corners.
