DESCRIPTION: Dent of London inclined plane clock, made in limited numbers as replicas of the original that was first invented by Maurice Wheeler in 1684. Brass drum case with 5 " silvered engraved dial with Roman Numerals. Eight day gravity driven movement. On wood base with tooled leather incline surface. Rear of drum case engraved "E. Dent & Co. Ltd. / London England / (17) / Seventeen Jewels / Serial No. 80/045". MEASUREMENTS: Brass drum 4 " diameter x 4 " wide; inclined plane 25 " long x 6-1/2 " wide x 6 " high. CONDITION: Running.
