It is accompanied by a letter that states:"When I was a young artist I was mucking about in my studio trying to find my visual voice when I became aware of Janet Fish's wonderful still life painting "Raspberries and Goldfish". A large canvas filled with dynamic energy and such immediacy that it captivated my interest. I set out to study it as best I could and tried to remain faithful to the original. In the end it proved to be an invaluable teaching tool for me. At the time I never knew how to sign it and decided, due to my naivety, to leave it unsigned.Sincerely, Robert Hennon"
