MEISSEN BLANC DE CHINE PORCELAIN ALLEGORY OF WINTER MID 18TH CENTURY, H 12.75" W 5.75" Signed in blue, crossed swords. Having the number 1717 scratched into the underside, probably being a pattern numbered as the sword mark was not used prior to 1725 and the dot was used after 1756. Depicting a cherub passing a torch to a lady who is dressed in a flowing gown. Having a separate laurel banded and garland swag decorated pedestal base. Height of the base 5.25". Depth 5".
Condition
Skillful restoration to the wing, areas of restoration to the base.
