Gourd-shaped body with raised putti and fruiting vine on textured ground, vine entwined branch handle and spout, fluted lid with wood sprite and blossom finial, presentation inscription 1892. 32.94 OT, 8''. Note: Grosjean & Woodward produced silver of the highest order for various American retailers. Similar example depicted pg. 138 ''Magnificent Tiffany Silver'' by Loring.
Condition
Generally good condition, minor wear throughout, few minor dings in space around inscription, ivory insulators show hairlines but are tight.
