The young brash challenger relentlessly taunted Liston leading up to the fight and Clay's antics reached an apex the morning of the bout. Clay entered the weigh in ceremonies at Convention Hall with his boxing idol, Sugar Ray Robinson declaring "I'm the champ! Tell Sonny I'm here. Bring that big ugly bear on." After fining Clay $2,500 for his behavior, Miami Beach boxing commission officials took Clay's blood pressure measuring 200/100.
