Ancient Roman, ca. 1st Century AD, 22K Gold Ring inset with an Agate Cameo of Mars. God of War wearing a paludamentum (military cloak) and helmet. This beautiful cameo was cut to reveal three distinct color layers: the dark brown background, the white of Mars face, shoulder and helmet crest, and the light brown of the helmet and cloak. A marvelous piece of ancient jewelry in excellent condition! Ring Size 7, Weight: 8.77 grams.
