Description
Taft, William Howard (2 TLS) Woodrow Wilson (1 TLS), Herbert Hoover (2 TLS) and Harry S. Truman (Signed Photo). William Taft, 27th President of the United States: US Circuit Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, Cincinnati, TLS 2 p.p. 8½ x 11" dated Oct. 19th 1895 signed twice by President Taft as Wm. H. Taft and endorsed the same on verso during his time on the court. Very good condition, both pages having chipping to the right border and small tears at the folds, but otherwise fine and the signatures are quite bold. A TLS from Hot Springs Va., November 27, 1908 to the Cosmos Club in DC. We are including a superb silver nitrate portrait print, 9 x 7" that has his name written across the darkest part of his jacket but the signature has issues and likely secretarial.
Woodrow Wilson, 28th President of the United States, TLS 9¾ x 8" on State of New Jersey Executive Department letterhead dated June 29, 1911 thanking an Atlantic City constituent for his expertise on oyster commissioners.
Herbert Hoover, two TLS, both on personal stationery, 10¼ x 7¼" one written from The Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco in 1956 and the other from The Waldorf Astoria, in 1962, one a gracious letter of thanks signed with initials H.H, the other, a birthday wish signed "Herbert".
Harry S. Truman Superb signed 8 x 10" B&W photo of his official portrait by Greta Kempton perfect save for a red dot in lower left white margin.
Estimated Value $600-UP.
