Item Details

Description

Early 19th century, walnut with yellow pine secondary. High feet with scalloped apron, three dovetailed, graduated drawers with beaded edges and replaced pulls, fitted interior with dovetailed drawers and pigeon holes. Old refinishing with pieced repairs and some surface scuffs, mostly inside. 38.25"h. 27.5" writing height. 39.5"w. 20"d.

Condition

Old surface, refinished some time ago. Pieced repairs at hinges to slant front, added nail to prospect door which has loose hinge, some edge loss to interior drawers. Interior has scratches and wear. Lid has age splits and shrinkage, pieced repair in top at lock edge. Top drawer is missing lock. Legs have screws in glue blocks, partial back left foot. Please add plug on exterior of slant front.
