Whimsical forest scene comprised of two hundred and twenty five tiles depicting a seated woman with a peacock watching men, ladies, and jesters dance around in a forest. The Chase's Theater and Rigg's Building, also known as the Keith-Albee Theater, was a historic theater built by Jules Henri de Sibour for Plimpston B. Chase. Chase sold the theater to B. F. Kieth and was added to the vaudeville circuit where William Howard Taft attended the 1912 opening and Woodrow Wilson regularly attended shows. Similar tile murals have sold at Sotheby's.

From the collection of a Rumford, Rhode Island gentleman. The mural was salvaged from Chase's Theater and Rigg's Building, Washington, D. C.
Condition
Craquelure, areas of rust stains, fading, five tiles have been replaced with tiles of incomplete mural sections (backs are shown), losses to some tiles, some losses to vibrancy in design, please refer to photographs.
