Description
Rare fine Antique Japanese Satsuma pottery chawan tea bowl. Finely painted tea bowl (chowan) of deep form, buff glazed, decorated in overglaze blue, green and gold. With pine seedlings and a kori-mon. Retaining original gold gilt. Character mark, Tokugawa Crest, Signed impressed seal Kinkozan on bottom. Circa 1780. Awata-yaki (Kyoto ware). Comes with original silk pouch, wood box. A wonderful example of high quality Satsuma.
