Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Yongzheng Jihong Red monochrome glaze porcelain Pomegranate Zun water pot. The porcelain potted in a pomegranate shaped body, deep curvature, of a deep vessel, round straight upward to form the narrow opening rim, with flaring flori form lip , short small round splayed foot base rim, slight concave. all reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered masterfully covered in an even coat of a iron red glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The iron red glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy. Red is found everywhere during Chinese New Year and other holiday celebrations and family gatherings. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings, Made In The Years of Yongzheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
