This is an attractive estate found print by American artist William Gropper (1897-1977). Gropper was a lithographer, painter, illustrator and muralist. He studied at National Academy of Design, New York School of Fine and Applied Arts with Robert Henri and George Bellows. Titled Red Cavalry, this print features three riders on the charges. It is signed within the plate and also in pencil below the print. - The backing board is 22 1/4 x 17 5/8". The lithograph is 18 1/8 x 14 1/8".

This print is in need of restoration. As pictured, it is toned and exhibits foxing. It is laid down on a backing board. Wear and losses to the print paper from what looks like to be a result of the removal of old matting. Please examine the images for the best indication of condition.
