Description
Central Asia, Northern India and Pakistan, ca. 19th century CE. A long wooden pole with wrapped iron coils and a flanged mace head surmounted on one end. The name for these clubs or maces like these is "shishpar" which may come from the name Shispare, a jagged mountain and one of the highest peaks in the Karakoram mountain range. Shishpar may also refer to the six wings or flanges of the mace head, although this mace only has five. Size: 40" L x 2" W (101.6 cm x 5.1 cm)

Condition
Wood is cracking and chipping. One iron ring is loose. Dark, black patina to wood and heavy patina on the iron.
