Sideboard Table, Fayetteville, 1790-1850, fine rich reddish-brown mahogany with yellow pine secondary, single dovetailed drawer with light-wood cockbeading and line inlay, period brass pull, tapered and line-inlaid legs, 33-1/4 x 47-3/4 x 23-1/2 in., MESDA file records the table's condition as "original throughout", brass an early addition over an original keyhole escutcheon, minor face patches to two legs and edge of top, drawer lacking small beading element and skirt possibly once fitted with beading, early butterfly patch at underside of top, other minor cracks, stains and wear consistent with age and use, no evidence of height reduction Provenance: From the Blount House in Fayetteville, North Carolina; Private Collection, Fayetteville, North Carolina Reserve: $9,000 Illustrated in Bivins, [The Furniture of Coastal North Carolina 1700-1820,] p. 437, figure 7.61., and recorded by MESDA, reference No. S-2744.
