Bronze statue of a buffalo, titled Range Roamer, by American sculptor Carl Wagner (1938[x=#8211/]2011). Bronze is mounted on a two-inch thick wooden base. Total dimensions are ~11 x 7 x 9 inches. It weighs ~13 pounds. That's a lot of buffalo! Wagner had no formal art training but came to central Colorado in the 1970s to establish his own 5,000-square-foot foundry, which he named Hurricane Hill Art Works, in the town of Salida. His bronze work ranged in size from thimbles and mugs to life-size mammals and birds.
