Female doll with china moulded head and bust, painted blonde hair, blue eyes, lips, brows and tinted cheeks. With nanking cloth body, china forearms and hands, and china lower legs and feet. Feet painted to reflect flesh, stockings and black heeled boots. Dressed in costume of late 19th century including burgundy taffeta dress with fitted bodice, lace at neck and cuffs, embroidered black velvet sash, and cream silk insert to sleeves and band across skirt. With cotton eyelet drawers and slip. Wearing pendant necklace and holding wood and natural carved parasol with puce silk shade. Germany, late 19th/early 20th c.
